Sales Engineer Vacancy

Location: NG11 Nottingham based
Position: Permanent, Full Time

A-Trax supplies undercarriage crawler track systems on a wide range of vehicles including drilling machines, tractors and excavators for the construction, material processing, agriculture and waste recycling industries.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our successful team. This is an excellent opportunity in a fast growing company for a sales professional with a proven track record. Based in Nottingham, the successful candidate will be self-motivated with a keen eye for developing opportunities, driven by hitting sales (KPI) targets.

  • Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
  • Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
  • Analyse costs and sales
  • Prepare reports for head office and keep customer records
  • Use CRM to log leads and customers
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Help in the design of custom-made products
  • Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role.
  • Proven sales track record.
  • Experience in customer support is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Market knowledge.
  • Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Time management and planning skills.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field although candidates with vocational / practical experience will also be considered.
